Canine Campus is looking for a compassionate and responsible Dog Attendant to provide care for our canine clients during daycare hours .. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of dogs while in our care. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work shifts in a calm and professional manner. Prior experience in pet care or customer service is a plus, but a genuine passion for animals is essential.
Duties
- Monitor and care for dogs , ensuring they are comfortable and happy, and safe during playtime
- Providing dogs meals
- Ensure that all dogs have access to water, and ensure comfort and security by adjusting bedding, toys, or other comfort items as needed
- Feed and administer medication to dogs as directed by owners or management
- Monitor dog interactions during group play sessions, ensuring positive and protected behavior.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, bedding, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Observe dogs for any signs of distress or health issues and report concerns promptly
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary,
such as moving supplies or large dog kennels
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both staff and animals
Skills/Requirements
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining alertness and professionalism
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and all sizes
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents or concerns clearly and accurately
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays-
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all animals and staff
Canine Campus is open Monday - Friday 6:00am - 7:00pmSaturday's 8:00am -6:00pm
