Tiny Explorers Academy – Beltline is on the hunt for an early childhood assistant who is passionate, attentive, caring, creative, and excited about learning in the early years!

Tiny Explorers Academy is a growing childcare company that originated in 2015. Most recently, the company expanded into the neighborhood of Roncesvalles with their second location opening in September of 2021.

Our Beltline location is situated right on the Beltline trail, where children and staff can develop a healthy appreciation for Mother Nature. We also offer convenient parking and/or access to the Davisville subway station.

Early Childhood Assistant:

As an Early Childhood Assistant at Tiny Explorers Academy, you will play a pivotal role in some of the most crucial years for development in young children. You will work alongside your teammates to create an environment that is conducive for learning, an engaging program plan, and actively cultivate meaningful relationships with all children and families.

Some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Implement a balanced curriculum amongst all developmental domains

· Providing a healthy and safe environment for all children as outlined in the company’s policies

· Engaging children in activities and providing opportunities to express creativity through art,



dramatic play, music, and physical activity

· Establishing and sustaining a safe and nurturing environment for all children by supervising activities and providing structural guidance when needed

· Assisting children in primary needs such as appropriate dressing, eating, and cleaning

· Maintaining records of children’s interests to share ideas with families and teammates

· Remaining collaborative with your team and families to provide the best condition for each child’s development and to ensure the success of every child within the program

Qualifications:

· Experience working in a child care setting

· Experience using the HiMama communication application an asset

· Experience working with children with various needs an asset

· A valid Vulnerable Sectors Check

· Valid Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C) or ability to obtain prior to employment start date

Details:

· Permanent, full-time position

· The successful candidate will be required to work Monday through Friday with rotating shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
