Child Care United of Leeds and Grenville is looking to build our team in Lansdowne. We are currently looking for PERMANENT EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS (RECE) for our Thousand Island Daycare School Age Program (located at Linklater Public). Position also provides the opportunity for additional hours working within our Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs.

Individuals will work collaboratively with our team of Educators to provide nurturing, care and education to children between the ages of four to twelve years. You will share the responsibility of implementing a balance of individual and group activities that will encourage the physical, social, intellectual, emotional and sensory development both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities (Include but not limited to):
· Work collaboratively within program team, as well as have the ability to work independently when required
· Collaboratively plan and implement creative and inclusive activities based on the interests of the children
· Maintaining safe environments through active supervision, while guiding, demonstrating and encouraging the children
· Documenting and sharing special moments and important milestones of the children within your care
· Promote and participate in open communication with team and create trusting, cooperative relationships with families
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in licensed centre based childcare an asset
· Diploma in Early Childhood Education an asset, related education accepted (i.e. CYW, DSW, Social Services, etc)
· Graduates of Early Childhood Education must be a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
· Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (within 6 months)
· Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C)
· Valid Safe Food Handlers Certificate an asset
· Up to Date Immunization Record
· Team building skills
· Problem solving skills
· Time management skills
· Positive and fun-loving attitude with the ability to work under pressure
· Minimum two employment references
Educator Compensation:
· Registered Early Childhood Educators: $26.56 hourly (Inclusive of government funding)
· Non-RECE Educators: $24.00 hourly (Inclusive of applicable government funding)
Average Schedule:
· School Year, Before and After School 7:15am-9:45am and 3:00pm-6:00pm (27.5 hours), plus additional possible with supply coverage throughout the day. Additional Full days are available on scheduled School Holidays, Breaks and PA Days.
· Additional six hours per week are available at the main site for Infant, Toddler and Preschool coverage
· Summer Program: 37.5-40 hours
Position available as soon as August 24th, 2026 to prepare for upcoming program restart as of September 2nd, 2026
Pay: $24.00-$26.56 per hour
