SCOPE
With a great “can-do” attitude and good physical condition, you will be unloading incoming products and housekeeping, maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse area. This position reports to the Branch Manager. RESPONSIBILITY Prepare Products Stage and prepare totes, drums, kegs, and pails for delivery to ensure accuracy and readiness for shipment.
Pick and fulfill customer orders efficiently, following established procedures and quality standards.
Support the customer service team by providing product information, resolving order issues, and assisting with special requests.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, assisting with stock counts and restocking as needed to ensure product availability.
Unloads Shell tankers and trailers Housekeeping and Maintenance Helps maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse area, including sweeping and cleaning up any spills, removing pallets and empty drums and keeping the aisles clean and clear of any debris.
Follows scheduled equipment inspections and maintenance, including daily safety checks.
Reviews equipment performance and recommends repairs or replacement to Supervisor.
Makes recommendations on the effective use of space within the warehouse to ensure effective retrieval of high-demand or high-volume products.
Safety
Ensures that teammates operate safely.
Identifies work-place safety hazards and informs the supervisor.
Performs regular safety checks.
Adheres to all company policies,
safety practices and initiatives. Leadership and Teamwork Works closely with employees in other departments as well as with the internal office and management teams.
Assists with promoting Boss’ key service deliverables.
Assists with promoting a positive team atmosphere.
Assists with training staff to ensure they have the “tools” necessary to perform their job to the best of their ability.
Assists with ensuring efficient collaboration of all staff in the warehouse to achieve our desired goals and results.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education: Completion of High School preferred.
Skills/Certification: Forklift Operator Certification is an asset Experience: Minimum 1-2 years work experience in a physically demanding job, preferably in a warehouse environment.
Experience working with lubricants is an asset.
Experience operating a forklift, dollies, hand tools, pallet lifters and industrial lift trucks.
Abilities: Ability to work in a moderate-paced warehouse environment and perform routine and often repetitive tasks.
Ability to plan job tasks, solve common problems and make decisions as necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written, and must be able read instructions and understand numbers and figures.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kg’s) on a continuous basis.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to work well with others and with minimal supervision.
