Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Electrical Design Lead in the industrial sector in Calgary, Alberta. Our client, a growing manufacturer of custom-engineered electrical enclosures and power distribution solutions, is seeking an Electrical Design Lead to oversee electrical design activities for low and medium voltage products manufactured on-site. Responsibilities:

- Lead the review, approval,



and continuous improvement of electrical drawings and design documentation
- Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, cable schedules, and assembly documentation
- Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis using ETAP or SKM
- Mentor electrical designers, provide technical guidance, and support design quality across projects
- Specify electrical components and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements
- Support production teams through design reviews, troubleshooting, quality initiatives, and occasional site visits

Requirements:

- Hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and be eligible to seal electrical design documents in Alberta
- Possess at least 5 years of electrical engineering experience within power distribution, switchgear, control panels, or related industries
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of CSA standards, IEEE standards, and the Canadian Electrical Code
- Maintain proficiency with ETAP or SKM software for power system analysis
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to act as the technical authority for electrical designs
- Communicate effectively while collaborating with designers, production teams, customers, and project stakeholders
