We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator/Drivers to join our team in Saskatoon & Prince Albert Locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery such as loaders, skid steers, graders, trailer hauling and other construction equipment. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience with various types of heavy equipment . The Equipment Operator will play a vital role in ensuring project safety, quality, and timely completion.
Duties
- Operate heavy construction equipment including loaders, graders, dump trucks and skid steers with precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Support other construction activities requiring mechanical knowledge or heavy equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders, , graders, backhoes, dump trucks and skid steers.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (1A) preferred or required based on project needs & clean driving abstract.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must be willing to be on call during the winter season.
- Be able to work at all hours when needed & work long hours to help explicit any snow that is needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
