Role Description The Equipment Manager role is an on-site role located in Georgetown, ON.

The Equipment

Manager is responsible for preparing, organizing, and maintaining player equipment for practices, games, and team activities. Daily tasks may include checking and distributing gear, assisting with skate sharpening and minor equipment repairs, managing inventory, and helping set up locker rooms and benches before and after games. The role also involves ensuring equipment areas remain clean, safe, and orderly,



coordinating with coaches and trainers about equipment needs, and assisting with packing and transporting gear for home and away games.

Qualifications

- Ability to organize and track equipment inventory, maintain orderly storage areas, and follow established procedures.
- Basic knowledge of hockey equipment, willingness to learn skate sharpening and minor repairs, and attention to safety standards.
- Strong time management skills to support pre-game and post-game routines and meet team schedules.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with coaches, players, and staff in a respectful, skilled manner.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment bags, moving gear, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and game days as required.
- Interest in sports operations or equipment management; prior volunteer or work experience in a team or athletic setting is an asset.
