Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for an Estimator to join one of Canada's leading employee-owned general contractors based in their Ottawa or Toronto office. This individual will play a critical role on a large-scale nuclear construction project near Chalk River, Ontario, supporting the construction of a highly specialized nuclear research facility. The project will support advanced nuclear materials research, isotope development for cancer treatment applications, post-irradiated fuel examination, and next-generation reactor technologies.The Estimator will lead estimating activities throughout both preconstruction and active construction phases. This includes validating project estimates as IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings are released, developing pricing strategies, evaluating construction execution options, preparing labour and man-hour estimates, pricing change orders, and leading cooperative estimating efforts across multiple project partners. Working within an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) environment, this individual will provide leadership and quality control across estimate development while ensuring alignment between project stakeholders, trade partners, and construction teams.regular collaboration with project teams as well as approximately one/two day per month of travel to Chalk River.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
