Job description

Total Group of Companies (TGC), is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, HSE and training services.

TGC is actively seeking a certified Safety Advisor for an upcoming project.

Key Responsibilities

- Support site personnel in working safely and in compliance with OHS requirements

- Conduct hazard identification, assessment, and control

- Set up, inspect, and maintain safety equipment and PPE

- Monitor work activities and exercise stop-work authority when required

- Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and injuries in a timely manner

- Deliver safety orientations and task-specific training

- Perform gas monitoring, confined space monitoring, and rescue support as required

- Assist with general site housekeeping and safety oversight

Qualifications & Attributes

- Safety-driven with a strong attention to detail

- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team





- Solid communication and basic computer skills

- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures

Job requirements

Requirements

- Authorized to work in Canada and 19 years of age or older

- Valid driver’s license with minimum 3 years’ driving experience and acceptable abstract

- Physically fit and able to lift up to 75lbs

- Willing and able to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions

- Able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

- Previous experience in a safety role

- Strong working knowledge of OH&S; legislation and specialized PPE

Required Certifications

- Safety designation (NCSO, CRSP, or equivalent)

- First Aid

- H2S Alive (Alberta-based work)

- Additional certifications may be required based on project scope
