faascloud is looking for a Finance Manager to help expand a fast-growing advisory practice that works with a combination of North American businesses across various industries, spanning emerging/high-growth technology clients to enterprising private companies. The successful candidate will be in a client-facing role providing internal and external deliverables to clients as well as to the co-CEOs.

The Finance

Manager will be an extension to our clients’ teams and requires both strong communication and corporate financial planning skills.

What the role entails:

- Manage a portfolio of clients and provide regular finance and controllership services
- Perform financial and strategic analyses to support business insights, fundraising and long-term planning
- Review financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy, trends, variance analysis, and forecasting purposes
- Engage with clients to be on top of business updates and ensure key business drivers are understood and reflected in all analyses
- Complete and review complex month-end tasks and procedures
- Partner with your client team, which may involve bookkeepers, accountants, or other operational members of the client
- Create and manage new processes internally and externally for clients
- Assist with payroll processing, payment processing, regulatory filings, and other day-to-day finance tasks for our clients
- Update forecasts, budget to actual, and variance analysis on a monthly basis
- Other ad hoc projects

What you bring:

- Canadian CPA designation
- 3-5 years of full time working experience




- Strong familiarity with cloud accounting platforms (QBO & Xero), Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience managing competing deadlines and deliverables
- Ability to lead client meetings and think strategically
- Willingness to investigate issues and problem-solve using professional judgment and accountant/bookkeeping background
- Foresight to be proactive and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Ability to work closely with a small high-performing team
- Motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Experience working in remote and autonomous environments

Nice to have:

- Operational experience as a Senior Associate, Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller or Controller is an asset
- Previous experience in audit and assurance at an accounting firm
- Knowledge of data tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, etc) or other software platforms (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot, etc)
- Experience with Canadian payroll, specifically Ontario and British Columbia

Pay range: $90K - $110K
