To learn more about the Northwest Alberta region, please visit Work NW Alberta The Job You Will Perform: The Finished Products Operator is responsible for safely forming a pulp sheet, cutting, preparing, packaging and loading the product on either railcars or trucks to ship the product to our customers. You will operate a high-speed cutter, bale line, presses, stacker, clamp trucks, a locomotive, run lab tests, perform basic equipment care and potentially run a pulp machine. This is a team-based position that works in a structured learning environment to meet production goals.

The Grande

Prairie mill is an 1100+ tonne per day Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft pulp mill, employees approximately 400 mill employees in a 24-hour operation.

The shift schedule for this position is rotating 12-hour nights and days, with 14/28 days on shift. 7 days off straight each 28 days rotation.

We are a short 10-minute drive outside of the city and you will be home each day. GCF provides employees with a healthy work/life balance.

Perform switchman duties in a rail yard.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to perform duties with little supervision

Able to perform physically demanding work Demonstrated safety awareness The ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
