Piping Designer - Metals

Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000

- Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions

Responsibilities

- Preparation of and updates to project deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID;) and pipe isometric drawings
- General Arrangement drawings of piping layouts
- Ability to independently layout piping and select mechanical equipment
- Development of 3D piping models in an integrated CAD environment including pipe supports
- Checking of all piping related deliverables
- Reviewing and commenting on vendor packages as they relate to the piping discipline
- Participating in multi-discipline design reviews and coordinating with those disciplines
- Ability to lead and guide a small team of junior to intermediate piping designers

Education and Experience

- Must be a graduate from a 3-year Mechanical Engineering Technology Program at an accredited College




- Minimum 5 years’ experience focused on piping design in an industrial setting
- Experience with the Bentley suite of Open Plant tools is an asset
