This temporary position entails working 15 hours weekly, mainly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will assess resident needs and provide essential counseling while contributing substantially to individualized care plans. Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and support residents’ psychosocial needs
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services
• Facilitate Resident Care Conferences and family meetings
• Help residents navigate assistance programs
• Collaborate with fellow social workers regionally
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work required
• Registered with the BC College of Social Workers
• One year of experience in senior care services
• Understanding of gerontology essential
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
