JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Outlets Manager, the Host provides a warm and welcoming first impression for guests of Cedars Restaurant and Lounge. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and guest flow, and supporting the service team in creating a seamless dining experience. The Host communicates professionally and genuinely with guests and team members while maintaining an organized and inviting entrance and reception area and upholding Tigh-Na-Mara’s high hospitality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Welcome and greet guests genuinely and professionally upon arrival
- Manage reservations, walk-in guests, and waitlists efficiently
- Seat guests according to established seating procedures and service flow
- Communicate accurate wait times and reservation information to guests
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries and reservations
- Coordinate closely with servers and restaurant leadership to maintain balanced seating and smooth service flow




- Maintain awareness of table availability and dining room activity
- Assist guests with general information regarding Cedars Restaurant and Lounge and resort amenities as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host and entrance area
- Ensure menus and guest-facing materials are clean, organized, and readily available
- Assist with light table clearing, resetting, or other front-of-house duties when required
- Respond to guest questions and concerns professionally and seek assistance from a supervisor or manager when appropriate
- Adhere to all company service standards, procedures, and policies
- Report any guest service, cleanliness, or maintenance concerns to a supervisor or manager

- Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
- Professional guest service and telephone etiquette
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods
