Job Summary

Jungle Bird is looking for an energetic, experienced and hospitality-driven Server / Food & Drink Runner to join our team at one of Calgary’s most unique cocktail bars.

The main and primary role of this position is as a Food & Drink Runner, supporting the floor by quickly and accurately delivering food and cocktails, assisting servers, clearing and resetting tables, and helping keep service running smoothly during busy periods.

Once fully trained, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to serve their own section on select shifts and earn additional tips. This makes the position a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the fast pace of a support role while also wanting to develop or maintain their serving experience.

We are specifically looking for someone who already understands the pace and expectations of a busy restaurant or bar workplace. You should be comfortable carrying multiple plates and drinks, communicating with guests, helping turn tables and jumping in wherever the team needs support

Duties

- Deliver prepared food and drinks from the kitchen and bar to guest tables promptly and accurately
- Assist with food and drink presentation and ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff and servers to coordinate timely delivery of orders




- Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy periods by helping with clearing tables and seating guests from the door
- Communicate effectively with guests to address their needs and ensure satisfaction
- Most importantly, to deliver an outstanding experience to guests

Experience

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with serving, food preparation, and handling POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential

Compensation · Compensation will average between $17-$22 per hour. Base is starting at $17/hour and once starting to serve, you should be averaging a MINIMUM of $22/hr. (including tips) and will increase based on performance and longevity!

Tuesday: 6 pm - 11 pm

Friday: 7 pm - Close

Saturday: 7 pm – Close

Sunday: 4:00 pm – 11 pm

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
