Job Summary:
C5i is looking for a growth-oriented Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with 5–10 years of experience who combines strong hands-on Palantir Foundry capabilities with a deep understanding of Commercial, Marketing, CRM, and Digital Growth. This is not a traditional data engineering role – we are looking for someone who thinks like a growth hacker and builds like an FDE, who understands how businesses acquire, engage, convert, and retain customers, and can use data, AI, and Palantir Foundry to rapidly turn growth ideas into working solutions. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing customer journeys, CRM, social/media performance, campaigns, and commercial growth opportunities with business teams, and then getting hands-on to build the required data products, applications, and workflows in Foundry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with Commercial, Growth, and Marketing leaders to identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and revenue growth
- Translate loosely defined growth opportunities into data-driven products and workflows using Palantir Foundry
- Connect and activate data across CRM, customer, sales, social, media, campaign, and transactional platforms
- Build rapid prototypes and experiments, put them in the hands of business users, measure results, and iterate quickly
- Develop data pipelines, Ontologies, applications, and operational workflows within Foundry
- Apply analytics and AI to identify customer opportunities and recommend actions for Sales and Marketing teams
- Take ownership across business and technology teams – from idea to prototype to deployment to adoption to measurable business impact
- Bring a strong experimentation mindset, continuously identifying new ways in which data and technology can drive growth
Required Skills & Experience:
Growth & Business Acumen
- Strong understanding of digital growth, CRM, customer journeys, social/media, marketing analytics, and revenue growth management
- Ability to identify growth opportunities from data rather than simply execute predefined requirements
- Familiarity with key commercial, RGM, and marketing concepts/metrics such as CAC, conversion, funnel performance, engagement, retention, LTV, ROAS, campaign effectiveness, price elasticity, promotion effectiveness, product mix, net revenue, gross margin, and trade spend
- Strong experimentation mindset with the ability to formulate hypotheses, test ideas, measure impact, and iterate
- Comfortable working directly with senior Commercial and Marketing stakeholders
Palantir / Technical Capability
- Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, ideally in a client-facing or business-facing environment
- Experience building production solutions using Foundry Ontology, Workshop, data pipelines/transforms, and operational workflows
- Strong Python and SQL skills; PySpark experience preferred
- Ability to integrate data from CRM, marketing, social, digital, and enterprise data platforms
- Experience building data products and applications directly consumed by business users
- Exposure to Palantir AIP and AI/LLM-enabled workflows is highly desirable
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are particularly interested in candidates who sit at the intersection of Growth / Marketing Technologist + Commercial Problem Solver + Palantir FDE. You might currently be a Forward Deployed Engineer, Palantir Consultant, Growth/Data Engineer, Marketing Technology Engineer, Customer Analytics Engineer, or Solutions Engineer. Your title matters less than your ability to combine commercial curiosity, growth thinking, and hands-on technical execution.
What Great Looks Like:
A Commercial or Marketing leader should be able to come to you with a question such as: “We need to grow this customer segment – where are the opportunities and what should we do differently?” You should be able to explore the data, develop hypotheses, connect CRM/social/media/customer signals, identify opportunities, rapidly build the solution in Foundry, and work with the business to test whether it drives growth. We are looking for someone who doesn’t stop at delivering a dashboard or data pipeline – they identify the opportunity, build the solution, experiment, measure the outcome, and keep iterating.
C5i is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to equal employment chance regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, gender identity, etc. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please keep us informed about the same at the hiring stages for us to factor necessary accommodations
