About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated, reliable, and professional Full-Time Security Guard to join our team at a community-focused site in Winnipeg.
This position is ideal for an experienced security professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, providing excellent customer service, and interacting respectfully with students, families, staff, and members of the public.
Schedule & Pay
- Hourly Rate: $17+/hour
- Schedule: Morning and evening shifts
- Status: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to maintain site safety and prevent unauthorized access
- Monitor and control access points while enforcing site rules and procedures
- Maintain a visible and qualified security presence throughout the site
- Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and other situations as required
- De-escalate challenging situations using sound judgment and effective communication
- Provide professional and respectful customer service to students, families, staff, visitors, and members of the public
- Communicate effectively using two-way radios
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and daily activity reports
- Work collaboratively with site staff and other security team members
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of security guard experience
- At least 19 years of age
- First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a CSA-approved provider
- MOAB Certification — or willingness to complete company-sponsored training prior to onboarding
- High School Diploma or GED
- English fluency, both written and spoken
- Comfortable performing physical duties, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work professionally and respectfully with children, families, and vulnerable members of the public
- Comfortable interacting professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
