We are looking for a transformative Principal Engineer to help define the next generation of Veem’s technical architecture and platform strategy. This is one of the most senior individual-contributor engineering roles at Veem.

You will partner closely with executive leadership and teams across Engineering, Product, Data, Security, Compliance, and Operations to lead mission-critical initiatives across payments infrastructure, AI-enabled systems, distributed architecture, and emerging financial technologies. We are looking for a hands‑on technical leader who can shape strategy, influence across the organization, mentor senior engineers, and drive meaningful technical transformation. Define and drive Veem’s long-term technical architecture across core payments, platform, data, integration, and operational systems.

Lead complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives spanning multiple teams and systems. Drive modernization efforts, improve platform scalability, and reduce technical debt. Establish engineering standards for architecture, reliability, observability, security, testing, and operational excellence.

Lead AI transformation initiatives across engineering and operations. Help shape Veem’s strategy around stablecoins, blockchain, digital assets, and modern payment rails. Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders while raising the engineering bar across the organization.

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to executive and engineering leadership. Translate business priorities into scalable, practical, and commercially valuable technical solutions. Approximately 12–18 years of software engineering experience.

Proven experience operating at Staff+, Senior Staff, Principal Engineer, Architect, or equivalent level.



Strong hands‑on software engineering and architecture capabilities. Demonstrated ability to influence technical strategy without direct authority.

Strong understanding of scalability, data consistency, reliability, security, fault tolerance, and production operations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical trade-offs to executive and non‑technical audiences. Payment processing, settlement, reconciliation, ledgering, treasury, foreign exchange, or financial APIs.

Stablecoins, blockchain infrastructure, digital wallets, crypto payments, or digital assets.

Technical

Environment AWS, GCP, or Azure Messaging, streaming, and data systems You will help define how businesses move money internationally as the industry evolves toward faster, more intelligent, and more flexible payment infrastructure. Lead High-Impact Technical Transformation This role provides the scope and influence to drive meaningful change across architecture, engineering practices, platform capabilities, and organizational strategy. You will have the opportunity to move beyond theoretical experimentation and help determine how these technologies can be used in real-world financial systems.

You will partner directly with senior leadership and contribute to decisions that shape Veem’s long-term product and technology direction.
