Canadian Base Operators is seeking Airport Heavy Equipment Operators to join their Firebag team in Fort Mackay, Alberta. This seasonal, full-time role involves maintaining airport runways and airfield surfaces, with a focus on safety and compliance. Ideal candidates are experienced heavy equipment operators with aviation backgrounds, ready to work a rotational schedule and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Need

- Heavy Equipment Operator Certification




- High school diploma or post-secondary education
- 3-5 years of experience in the aviation industry
- Class 1 or 3 license with Q Endorsement or provincial equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Radio License (aeronautical) and AVOP
- Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
- Drivers Abstract
- Security clearance (Criminal Record Check)
- Willingness and ability to travel and work rotational shifts

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Previous aviation or SNIC (snow and ice control) experience
- Common Safety Orientation – Energy Safety Canada
- Previous experience with manual handling principles
