What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Conduct psychological assessments and counselling to support functional recovery
- Facilitate psychology groups and relaxation training programs aimed at reducing disability-related impacts
- Mentor undergraduate Psychology interns
- Assist with program development and service enhancement
- Collaborate with psychology peers to ensure best practice and clinical excellence
- Participate in specialized teams (e.g., Complex Injury, Traumatic Psychological Injury, Brain Injury) as part of ongoing professional development and evolving business needs
Experience Snapshot
- The Short Version of Experience Needed: Experience treating trauma and conducting formal assessments on adults, trauma psychology treatment programs, psych injury screens, trauma processing and treatment plans, working within a collaborative environment with other disciplines or willingness to work in such an environment.
- One of these three certifications: EMDR, PE, or CPTE
Qualifications – Master’s Level
- Completion of a Master’s Degree in Psychology
- Active registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
- Completion of an internship from a CPA-accredited facility or equivalent
- Preference given to candidates who have completed: 1,600 hours of supervised practice
- Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)
- Preferred experience: Interdisciplinary notice setting involving assessment and treatment of diverse psychological conditions
- Experience supporting clients with physical injury, chronic pain, and disability
- Research and/or psychological consulting experience (asset)
