Lead strategic grant initiatives at McGill University’s Goodman Cancer Institute. This senior advisor position focuses on multi-investigator grants, enhancing research funding success and advising leadership on strategic directions. Reporting directly to the Deputy and Director of the Goodman Cancer Institute, the Senior Advisor, Grants and Initiatives drives complex grant applications and supports principal investigators in steering major research projects.
You will engage closely with researchers, donors, and university partners to strengthen the Institute’s profile and advance its fundraising objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct grant application planning with principal investigators
- Develop proposals for large-scale, multi-investigator projects
- Advise on strategic planning and initiatives for the Institute
- Manage major research projects and guide scientific direction
- Assist in writing and editing grants and manuscripts Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in academic or research settings
- Proven success in grant development and funding applications
- Deep understanding of cancer research
- Robust project management and organizational skills
