We’re recruiting a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Computer, Networks and Infrastructure team of an established Western Canadian insurance organization.
Reporting to the CNI Manager, this role will play an important part in the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity defenses. You’ll help protect people, systems, and data while staying ahead of an evolving threat landscape and bringing forward practical, effective security solutions.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development of the organization’s Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan
- Act as the primary escalation point for cybersecurity incident response
- Monitor Help Desk tickets and respond to cybersecurity-related issues
- Be available for high‑severity incidents on a 24/7 basis when required
- Manage and administer intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, network devices, and other security systems
- Maintain and monitor security sensors and data sources to ensure security events are logged, monitored, correlated, and appropriately escalated
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analysis, and security assessments
- Partner with business teams, software development, and infrastructure teams to research best practices and implement appropriate security solutions
- Help maintain compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
- Remediate identified vulnerabilities and help maintain a strong security posture
- Develop and lead company‑wide IT security best practices
- Create and lead cybersecurity awareness and training initiatives for employees
- Research and provide guidance on cybersecurity policies, standards, best practices, and strategies
- Assess vendors for compliance with organizational data‑protection policies and practices
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
- Stay current on information technology trends and security standards
- Prepare regular reporting related to the organization’s overall security posture
- Build effective working relationships with software development teams, internal stakeholders, and end users
- Mentor and support the development of other team members
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience
- 2+ years of experience securing and monitoring Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
Experience with application and infrastructure penetration‑testing tools
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including operating systems, networks, and protocols
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- The ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high‑pressure setting
- Experience providing mentoring and training to team members
