CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with previous experience managing Water and Wastewater projects to join our Western Canada group. In this position, you will be the main point of contact for the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, and solid waste facilities projects in British Columbia and assist with business development activities. Our water services have spanned the areas of design and construction administration of drinking water, wastewater, water resources, storm water, environmental, master planning studies and modeling.

Managing and serving as the Project Manager on major British Columbia water & wastewater projects. Providing technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance our water services design capabilities.
Being responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring and adherence for projects managed.
Completing Quality
Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables.
Assisting Client Service
Leaders with technical marketing meeting clients in the Vancouver region.
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key decision makers in our clients’ organizations.
Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices. Possesses in-depth knowledge of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks and opportunities. Good personal computer skills including advanced knowledge in the use of MS Word and Excel.
Bachelor's Degree. ~PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). ~ Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. ~ Experience creating and signing off on engineering designs of basic to high complexity for water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, and solid waste facilities Project experience working with Metro Vancouver as a client Amount of Travel Required This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
