Our Telecommunications group is currently looking to add a Labourer to our team, based in Winnipeg, MB.

Reporting to the Foreman, we are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Construction Labourers with the ability to support a variety of job functions. This position is responsible for day-to-day manual tasks on the project and must demonstrate a sound work ethic to complete physical tasks.

Please note: This position will work 5-6 days per week, 10 hours per day outdoors in a variety of conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Complete job tasks (including but not limited to: Sweeping, Shoveling, Assembling, Cleaning)
- Provide manual labour assistance as required
- Transport appropriate tools to the worksite, confirm all tools function properly before use, and ensure equipment and tools are safely stored
- Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe manner (including, but not limited to: skill saws, snow blowers, grinders etc.)
- Adhere to all company specific and industry specific safety regulations, ensuring highest standard of safety is upheld
- Participate in tailboard meetings, including identification of potential work site hazards




- Report potential hazards to Foremen or Journeymen
- Other duties as required by crews

Qualifications

- Previous Construction experience
- Class 5 driver's license with clean drivers abstract
- Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Proven knowledge of safety practices, procedures and requirements
- Knowledge of secure operation of basic hand and power tools
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
