G&S; Gill Trucking Ltd is a growing transportation company with a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. We are committed to safety, reliability, and keeping our equipment in top condition. We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical, brake, and suspension systems
- Keep accurate maintenance records and complete work orders
- Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Respond to emergency roadside repairs as needed




- Maintain a clean and organized shop workplace

Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal preferred) or Apprentice with relevant experience
- Experience with truck fleets, trailers, or construction equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 with air brake endorsement considered an asset)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
