Existing Position
Provides fair, equitable, respectful, and culturally relevant service to First Nations children and families, consistent with the vision, mission, and values of Kunuwanimano and subscribes to the organization’s values and complies with its’ By Law’s, Policies and Procedures. Arranges transportation for children at home or in care to attend a variety of appointments, visits, meetings and/or court. Ensures client records, documents, case recordings and case notes are up to date. Transport children and youth to various scheduled activities, events, appointments and access visits while ensuring on time pick up and drop off times. Ensure the safety of the children and youth when transporting to various activities by confirming a responsible adult (caregiver) is there to greet the child and reporting any changes of the drive to their worker. Complete administrative functions, reports and adhere to Agency policies, procedures and relevant practices. Ensure confidentiality and safe keeping of all Agency documents and records. Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise work files. Review and report on progress or pertinent information observed or verbalized by the child or youth to their worker. Work in compliance with relevant legislation. Prepare and submit monthly reports, attendance records and travel expense claims. Participates on a variety of internal committees and work teams as required. Provides support to members of the service team during the investigation of allegations of child abuse and/or maltreatment inclusive of conducting thorough records checks.
Ability to work independently and as a team member and willing to assume duties as may be required or directed.
