The Role

As an Industrial Automation/Controls Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and improving our automated manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial controls systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and associated automated equipment. Working closely with maintenance, engineering and production teams, you will drive operational efficiency, minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to automation projects from concept through commissioning while ensuring systems remain safe, reliable and compliant with industry standards.

Who You Are

You are a motivated and technically skilled automation professional with a passion for solving complex problems and improving manufacturing performance through technology. You are a hands on professional with experience in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and industrial controls.



You enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment, improving system performance and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams With strong technical and problem solving skills, you are committed to safety, reliability and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or related field.
- Experience working with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA software platforms and industrial communication protocols
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial workplace
- Excellent Commmunication, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Experience with robotics, motion control systems or machine vision technologies
- Knowledge of industrial networking concepts and cybersecurity best practicies
- Project management or project leadership experience
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and preventative maintenance programs
