Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Laundry Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, sorting and inspecting garments, and ensuring the timely processing of industrial laundry items. The ideal candidate will possess experience in laundry operations, preferably within hotel or hospitality environments, and demonstrate a strong commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.
Duties
- Operate industrial laundry machines efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Sort, inspect, and prepare garments for washing based on type and care instructions
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of laundry equipment to maximize efficiency with training
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and laundry equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist in folding, packaging, and preparing items for delivery or storage
- Follow established procedures for stain removal when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily processing targets
- Document laundry activities accurately for quality control purposes
Requirements
- Prior experience in hotel or industrial laundry operations is preferred
- WHMIS 2015 certification
- Knowledge of laundry processes, including washing, drying, and finishing techniques
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks diligently while following safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail to ensure garments meet quality standards
- Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lift heavy loads, and long periods of standing
- Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment maintenance
- Reliable work ethic with excellent punctuality and teamwork skills
