Position: Service Manager / 310T Truck and Coach Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Joel Vachon Trucking Inc.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated 310T Truck and Coach Technician Service Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who has strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a busy service department.

Responsibilities

- Lead, support, and schedule technicians and service staff
- Diagnose, repair, and oversee maintenance of trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Review work orders, estimates, parts requirements, and job progress
- Communicate with customers regarding repairs, service requirements, and timelines
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and service schedules
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Monitor shop productivity, quality, and turnaround times
- Assist technicians with complex diagnostic and repair issues when required




- Maintaining Fleets

Qualifications

- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician Red Seal certification required
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a 310T technician
- Previous supervisory or service management experience is an asset
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Experience working with diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, air systems, and other heavy-duty truck components
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's licence
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
