Position: Exchange IT Specialist

Duration: 3 Months assignment (contract)

Client Location: Mississauga ( Onsite/Hybrid : 7 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite/Hybrid , requiring 7 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Exchange IT Specialist to support and maintain enterprise messaging infrastructure across Exchange Hybrid environments. The successful consultant will provide expertise in Microsoft Exchange administration, email security, hybrid messaging operations, email delivery services, and cybersecurity collaboration while ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of messaging platforms.

Scope

- Administer and manage Exchange Hybrid architecture, including OAuth authentication, federation services, organization relationships, certificate management, mailbox migrations, hybrid mail flow, and coexistence between Exchange Online and Exchange Server.
- Manage mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, connectors, mail flow, DAGs, and hybrid configurations.
- Administer Cisco Cloud Email Security (CES) environment and email security controls.
- Configure and troubleshoot SMTP relay services, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, mail routing, and third-party email integrations.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to resolve messaging and security-related issues.
- Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Azure, and AWS-integrated workloads.

· Security policy implementation and threat protection management.

· Incident resolution, change management, and technical documentation.

· Support for email-related compliance, audits, and remediation activities.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

· 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments.

· Strong experience with Exchange Hybrid , Exchange Online , and Exchange Server .

· Experience managing Cisco Cloud Email Security (CES) .

· Robust knowledge of SMTP , SPF , DKIM , and DMARC .

· Experience with Microsoft 365 , Microsoft Entra ID , and Exchange Online Protection (EOP) .

· Experience troubleshooting mail flow, connectors, email delivery, and migration issues.

· ServiceNow experience supporting incidents, service requests, and change management.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise messaging environments.

Nice to Have:

· Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS-integrated workloads.

· Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft 365 certifications.

· Experience supporting cybersecurity audits and remediation initiatives.

· Public Sector or Municipal Government experience.
