About this Role As an Investment Analyst or Senior Analyst at Boann, you will have the unique opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and experience to contribute to communities across Canada. You will work alongside a high-performing team in a respectful hybrid work setting, focusing on investment due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and analysis of Boann’s existing investments.

Your role will involve market research, investment performance analysis, impact measurement, and support of process and policy improvements. Your efforts will help strengthen the social finance sector in Canada.

Responsibilities Review and analyze investment opportunities focusing on community investments, SFIs, and co-investment with SFIs directly into SPOs.

Conduct market research into connected sectors and new initiatives in Canada and abroad.

Support investees,



and monitor and provide analysis of the performance and impact of Boann’s investment portfolio.

Work with Boann’s impact specialist to support impact measurement and reporting, gathering data from various sources.

Participate in process and policy improvements and implementation.

Prepare investment memorandums and reports for management and investment committee review.

Requirements Minimum of 3 years full-time work experience in investment analysis, due diligence, and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of direct investments and/or funds.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce, BBA, Finance, Economics, or related areas.

Experience in venture capital, impact investing, or community lending.

Excellent skills in MS Office Suite, including advanced Microsoft Excel.

Ability to work independently on multiple projects.

Flexible, adaptable, and able to work well under uncertainty.

Able to clearly articulate and communicate key findings and recommendations both verbally and in writing.

CFA Charter holder or progress in the CFA program is an asset.

Experience or knowledge of working with or investing in Indigenous communities and other specified investment areas is beneficial.

Bilingual ability in French and English is advantageous.
