Job Title: Tool & Die Maker

A leading automotive manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support the manufacturing, repair, maintenance, and optimization of production tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot progressive, transfer, and other production dies.
- Set up and operate conventional and CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, technical specifications, and GD&T.;
- Perform precision fitting, machining, assembly, polishing, and adjustments of tooling components.
- Diagnose tooling issues and perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability and efficiency.




- Conduct preventive maintenance and support production changeovers.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance and quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow workplace safety and quality standards.

Requirements

- Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Strong hands-on experience in tool and die making, preferably within automotive or industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, tooling processes, and GD&T.;
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
