Role Description The Junior Accounting role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, ON. This role supports day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. The individual will work with accounting software to process transactions, maintain accurate records, and support payroll and tax preparation tasks as needed.





Responsibilities also include reviewing documentation for completeness, identifying discrepancies, and escalating issues to senior team members.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and understanding basic Finance principles.
- Candidates should possess skills in using Accounting Software and entering accurate Journal Entries (Accounting).
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (diploma or degree) is preferred.
- Attention to detail, solid organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial work are essential.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and clients in a professional manner are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Canadian small business bookkeeping, payroll, and tax concepts is an asset.
