Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Within the context of a client and family centred model of care and, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Providence Health Care, the position promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff.
Reporting to the Director Facilities Maintenance & Operations (FMO), the Lead, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) & Service Integration supports all Providence Health Care (PHC) sites, with a primary focus on operational readiness and service commencement for the New St. Paul’s Hospital (NSPH). The role is responsible for the governance, optimization, and operational use of PHC’s CMMS and related service delivery workflows.
This role ensures that maintenance work across PHC facilities is planned, executed, tracked, and reported in a consistent, efficient, and compliant manner. This role exercises independent judgment in the development and application of standards, systems, and practices that impact FMO across PHC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training and Experience:
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a diploma or certificate in facilities management, engineering technology, building systems, or a related discipline plus a minimum of four (4) years’ recent related experience in facilities maintenance, operations, or technical services, including two (2) years’ experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in an operational environment.
Experience working in health care or a large organization is an asset.

- Demonstrated working knowledge of building systems, operations and maintenance practices in a complex, multi-site health care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and maintain effective working relationships with a service-oriented attitude displaying courtesy, tact and diplomacy under stressful situations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, responsibilities, and multiple priorities and schedules.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to operate related equipment including related software applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Takes ownership of CMMS systems for FMO across all PHC sites, including configuring and maintaining CMMS workflows, permissions, and user roles.
- Establishes and maintains standards for work orders, preventative maintenance, job plans, failure codes, and asset structures. Develops dashboards and performance metrics to support operational decision-making and ensures CMMS data integrity through audits, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Leads the structure and rollout of preventative maintenance programs and coordinates maintenance activities with clinical and operational partners.
- Creates and develops standardized job plans including labour, materials, tools, and access requirements. Supports planning and scheduling of internal and contracted maintenance work and promotes a planned versus reactive maintenance approach, ensures contracted work is planned, tracked and documented consistently.
- Coordinates service contract schedules and scope within the CMMS. Supports vendor performance monitoring and KPI reporting, aligning contractor workflows with PHC safety, access, and documentation requirements.
- Supports operational expenditure monitoring, budget variance identification and reporting, and resource planning.
- Establishes and maintains warranty tracking within the CMMS and Supports warranty-safe maintenance practices. Coordinates warranty calls and documentation in collaboration with NSPH project and site teams.
- Supports the transition from NSPH project completion to steady-state operations.
- Provides CMMS guidance and support to all FMO managers, supervisors, and frontline staff. Supports training initiatives related to CMMS use and work management practices.
- Act as a liaison between FMO, vendors, and internal partners regarding maintenance workflows. Works closely with Procurement and site teams to support service contract administration.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
