Utilize your litigation expertise to defend claims against local government members. The MIABC is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its claims and legal team. In this temporary full-time role, you will manage litigation claims from investigation to trial.

Your responsibilities will include advising stakeholders, preparing legal documents, and negotiating settlements effectively. Key Responsibilities:

- Gather and assess information for claims investigations
- Advise adjusters and communicate with members effectively
- Prepare pleadings, opinions, and legal reports
- Conduct trials and settlements at various court levels
- Engage in educational seminars for members on legal issues Requirements:
- 3-7 years of litigation experience preferred
- License to practice law in British Columbia
- Solid integrity and client commitment
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
