Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: A minimum of 1-2 years in medical/surgical or emergency department as registered nurse within the last 5 years or have completed final preceptorship in the emergency department.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in the following courses is preferred: Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS), Current Trauma Nursing Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
