The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Logistics Administrator to join our Logistics team in Sudbury, ON. This is a permanent position covered under the Collective Agreement between Vale and the Local 2020-05 United Steelworkers.

The Logistics Administrator will provide administration to Ontario Operations and Corporate Purchase, Sales & Marketing teams for the procurement and administration of logistics services for final and intermediate products, raw materials and supplies. A Logistics Administrator receives minimal direction and must organize and prioritize their own work and use time effectively to maximize productivity and meet commitments.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Coordinate logistics operations for truck, rail, vessel, and container shipments, including domestic, import, and export movements across Vale Canada sites.
- Monitor and track shipments, inventory movements, and contract utilization; reconcile inventory, scale weights, and transportation data, investigating and resolving discrepancies as required.
- Administer SAP transactions including requisitions, purchase orders, service entry sheets, inventory records, and other procurement and accounting activities to support timely invoice processing and payment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including operations, marketing, carriers, customers, and finance teams,



to ensure efficient material movement and resolve logistics-related issues.
- Prepare reports, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and Dangerous Goods transportation regulations.
- Support operational requirements through field activities, special projects, problem-solving, and other duties as assigned, including occasional travel.

About You

Education

- The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree or college diploma in Logistics, Business, Accounting, Finance and Economics or related discipline.

Experience

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in Logistics.
- Logistics experience with importing, exporting, truck scheduling, rail car fleet management and container management preferred.
- Previous experience working with SAP would be preferred.
- A moderate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is considered an asset

- Ability to decipher and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Verbal and written communication - the candidate must be able to accurately inform, capture interest and gain support in a clear and concise manner.
- Health, Safety and Environment - the candidate must be able to recognize, prioritize, and understand the controls required to mitigate risks in the workplace.




- Judgment - the candidate must be able to consider the situation, the issues and the people involved. This involves identifying, defining and analyzing problems or situations. It also involves the use of reason and the formulation of viable solutions and potential improvements.
- Confidence - must be able to demonstrate a reasonable trust in personal abilities.

Pay Grade: H

Minimum Starting Salary: $78,395.15
