Overview

We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage AV Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage audiovisual systems in various commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of audio-visual components, contributing to the success of our clients’ projects. Responsibilities

- Install low voltage AV systems according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Install, pull, and terminate low voltage cabling and telecommunication wiring (Cat5e/Cat6, speaker wire, XLR, coax, fiber), ensuring proper functionality
- Mount and wire AV equipment including speakers, amplifiers, displays, projectors, and video walls, using hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques to securely install equipment in designated locations
- Build and wire AV racks according to system drawings and schematics
- Terminate and test connections to ensure clean signal and power delivery
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, AV schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system setup
- Troubleshoot connectivity, equipment, software, and computer hardware issues in office
- Conduct routine maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal, ongoing performance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site, including floor and equipment protection,



and adhere to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members and clients to meet project deadlines
- Travel to job sites across the region as needed, including some out-of-town work

Skills
- Proven experience in low voltage / AV installation (commercial, residential, or live event environments)
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly techniques
- Skilled in structured cabling and telecommunication infrastructure installation and termination
- Experience mounting and wiring AV equipment: speakers, amplifiers, displays, mounts, and racks
- Comfortable reading and interpreting system drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience troubleshooting software issues and computer hardware components
- Familiarity with basic AV and networking concepts (Dante audio networking, control systems such as Extron, Crestron, or BrightSign, is an asset)
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts)
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to job sites (required)
- Comfortable lifting and moving equipment (up to 50 lbs)
