Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Distribution Lumber Yard Associate to join our team. This role involves working year round, in various outdoor weather conditions. This role also involves supporting our lumber distribution operations, handling heavy equipment, and ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of lumber and other related building materials.

The ideal candidate will have a background in warehouse distribution, construction, or related fields, with a strong focus on safety and productivity. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic workplace where efficiency and some heavy equipment operation and knowledge of some basic shop tools are valued.

Duties

- Load and unload lumber and building materials using various forklifts.
- Operate heavy machinery safely, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Manage shipping and receiving processes efficiently, ensuring accurate order picking and inventory control
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stacking, storing, and retrieving materials
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials within the yard




- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the yard area
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals in construction-related projects

Qualifications

- Previous experience in outdoor lumber yard distribution , shipping & receiving, or construction environments preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Experience with load & unload procedures in a outdoor lumber yard setting
- Strong understanding of safety protocols when operating heavy machinery and handling materials
- Previous shipping / receiving or warehouse experience highly desirable
- Valid certification or licensing for forklift is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
