PSC Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance & Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning maintenance work to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You will develop detailed job plans, coordinate required resources, manage the maintenance planning backlog, and work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to ensure maintenance work is planned and executed effectively.

Responsibilities Develop detailed job plans and work packages from approved work order scopes, ensuring all labour, materials, equipment, permits, and contractor services are identified prior to execution.

Review work order requests for technical completeness and return incomplete requests for additional scope definition when required.

Prepare comprehensive job packages and enter planning information into the site’s CMMS (SAP), including labour estimates, materials, services, and required resources.

Identify all tasks, tools, equipment, and materials required to safely and efficiently execute maintenance work.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to define work scope and ensure work packages are executable.

Use feedback from completed work to improve job plans and support continuous improvement of maintenance planning processes.

Manage the maintenance planning backlog, ensuring work is prioritized and planned in accordance with business needs.





Ensure maintenance planning activities comply with site work management processes and planning standards.

Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance & Reliability department.

Assist with planning plant shutdowns, outages, and major maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus a Journeyman Certificate (Red Seal), or a college diploma or university degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or another related technical discipline.

Upto three (3) years of relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing, reliability, industrial operations, or a related field.

Previous maintenance planning experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP, is required.

Strong understanding of maintenance planning, job scoping, scheduling, and work management practices.

Ability to work safely in an industrial workplace while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environment.

Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Experience coordinating contractor work and maintenance outages.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
