Position: Mechanical Engineering Technician

Compensation: $30 - $70/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

- Design and author authentic technician workflow tasks reflecting real-world challenges.
- Source, synthesize, and construct technical datasets from lab or production scenarios.
- Define accurate solution pathways and interpret test data for informed recommendations.
- Develop rigorous grading rubrics to evaluate technical skills in instrumentation and data interpretation.
- Document detailed technical procedures, observations, and diagnostic findings with precision.

Requirements

- Have strong relevant experience in lab, test, or production environments within mechanical engineering technology.




- Associate degree or recognized trade credential in mechanical engineering technology or related discipline.
- Extensive experience with instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and prototype testing workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth technical documentation of test procedures, outcomes, and failure modes.
- Solid analytical skills for interpreting complex datasets and diagnosing equipment or process failures.
