Position Summary

The Millwright repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical plant equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools. Precision measuring and testing instruments and adjustment of equipment as required as well as maintenance rounds and inspections.

Responsibilities: Repair of pumps, motors, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems

Troubleshoot and monitors equipment function

Interacts with equipment operators to determine needs

Performs preventative maintenance and plant inspections

Metal fabrication

Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble

Diagnoses standard mechanical equipment problems

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Repairs or replaces defective parts

Utilizes welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair, and fabricate processing equipment

Performs the preventative maintenance program established by the company





Documents and reports all maintenance work performed and advises of future requirements in a timely manner

Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications Maintains a clean and safe working environment

Assists in shop operations in a responsive, productive and safe manner Safe and responsible operation of company equipment at all times

Abides to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards

Willingness and availability to participate in on-call rotation

Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: Millwright license

3+ years in a similar role

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Time and stress management

Attention to detail

Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision Systems process knowledge Experience in hydraulics, electrical, pumps, valves, piping, threading and pneumatic systems

Excellent trouble-shooting skills

Basic mechanical knowledge in wood industry preferred

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

Ability to work in all environments

Ability to lift and carry equipment over 50lbs. #StellaH
