Ninja Coach - Lead & Assistant Positions

Part-Time | Armstrong, BC | $19.00-$25.00/hr, based on role and experience

At Willing 2 Ninja (W2N), we help kids build strength, resilience, self-confidence, and friendships through fun, challenging ninja obstacle course training. We're hiring for two roles right now, Lead Coach and Assistant Coach, and we're happy to have you apply and let us know which one fits you best, or if you're not sure, apply anyway and we'll help figure that out together.

Hours vary by role and season, typically 10 to 25+ per week. We know that's a range, and we're upfront about why: our hours shift with our team and our schedule, but we'll work with you to land on something that fits your life.

Lead Coach

Lead Coaches run classes independently, opening and closing the gym, leading kids through the full class, and being the coach families come to know and trust. This role requires being 18 or older, given the level of responsibility involved.

A Lead Coach's day typically includes:

- Opening the gym and setting up the space, adjusting obstacles for the age group coming in
- Communicating with your assistant coach so they're ready to go
- Welcoming families and kids as they arrive
- Running the full class, warm-up through cool-down, using our class plans
- Demonstrating obstacles and helping kids push through challenges
- Leading a group discussion tied to our Willing 2 Values
- Keeping an eye on safety and how the class is flowing
- Chatting with parents at pick-up as needed
- Closing up the gym at the end of your shift

Lead Coach pay ranges from $21.00 to $25.00/hr, based on experience and skill level, with room to grow.

Assistant Coach

Assistant Coaches work alongside a Lead Coach, helping kids through obstacles, keeping the class engaged, and supporting a safe, positive environment.



This role is open to applicants 16 and older, with maturity and reliability being key.

An Assistant Coach's day typically includes:

- Helping set up and adjust obstacles as needed
- Getting kids settled and engaged before class starts
- Assisting kids through obstacles and offering encouragement
- Supporting the Lead Coach in keeping the class safe and on track
- Helping wrap up and pack away at the end of class

Assistant Coach pay ranges from $19.00 to $22.00/hr, based on experience. Who We're Looking For (Either Role)

- Reliable, communicative, and someone we can count on to show up
- Comfortable working with kids and helping them through a challenge
- Calm under pressure in a fast moving environment
- Physically able to demonstrate obstacles, climb, hang, stand for long stretches, and lift 25 lbs

Nice to Have You don't need to check every box here, we care more about finding the right person for our team. That said, these would help:

- Experience coaching, teaching, or working with kids
- A background in athletics, fitness, or sports
- Youth recreation, camp leadership, or similar program experience
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to get certified)

Schedule

- Weekday afternoons and evenings, roughly 3:00 PM to 7:15 PM, Monday through Thursday
- Tuesday daytime shift for our homeschool group, roughly 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM, if you have daytime availability
- Occasional Fridays or Saturdays for drop-ins, birthday parties,



or special events
