Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440

: Reporting to the Inpatient Manager, the Unit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and services are provided to the patients and families in Inpatient Services. As an experienced practitioner, the Unit Coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, coordination, teaching and support to the patient care team which includes the patient, family members and interdisciplinary team members within a cooperative environment.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

- Requires experience in planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- 2 yrs. recent clinical experience w/ clients in mental health setting

Education

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing

- Demonstrates ability to apply Mental Health Act in a case management approach
- Knowledge of mental health needs of adults & families, & clinical interventions
- Knowledge in interpreting scientific literature to establish best practice
- Organize/prioritize work on multiple projects with competing deadlines

- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK (CRPNS)
- May need to travel to other sites for meetings
