Overview

Licensed or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (Truck and Coach Technician 310T) – Breslau, ON. Responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment within the facility.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a protected manner.
- Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
- Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
- Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
- Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
- Complete repair orders.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.




- Communicate equipment servicing needs with Supervisor as required.
- Complete warranty information.
- Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
- Carry out housekeeping duties.
- Complete required documentation and daily samsara logs accurately and timely.

Qualifications

- Licensed/Journeyman or 3rd Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T License).
- 3+ years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
- Hydraulics experience is an asset.
- Experience working on Class 8 trucks and tanker trailers is an asset.
- Ability to use diagnostic software (e.g., J Pro).
- Class G Driver's License required.
