Reports to: President
Objective and Scope
Pro-Tec Industries is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of its two Regina facilities that will unite into a new location in 2027. Reporting directly to the President, this role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality while supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Operations
Manager provides leadership across manufacturing, fabrication, fleet upfitting, product support, scheduling, customer service, warranty, and financial performance.
You will develop operational strategies, improve processes, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service. This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future of a growing Saskatchewan operation.
Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and oversight for all day-to-day operations across manufacturing, fabrication, fleet upfitting, service, warranty, and product support.
· Lead project planning, scheduling, execution, and completion while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
· Collaborate with the President to develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth and long-term objectives.
· Oversee operational budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
· Ensure production schedules, labour resources, and equipment are effectively coordinated to meet customer commitments.
· Champion quality assurance initiatives and continuously improve operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce rework.
· Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement practical solutions that minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
· Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure exceptional service and successful project execution.
· Oversee warranty processes and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
· Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
· Monitor key operational metrics and provide recommendations to improve performance, customer satisfaction, and overall business results.
· Support business development initiatives by collaborating with internal teams to deliver operational excellence and strengthen customer relationships.
Requirements
Experience and Education
· Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PMP, or other continuous improvement certifications would be considered an asset.
· Experience within truck equipment, fleet products, custom fabrication, or industrial manufacturing.
· Progressive leadership experience in operations management within manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, fleet, service, or related industries.
· Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams in a production or project-based workplace.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, upfitting, or product design.
· Demonstrated project management experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
· Managing operational budgets and demonstrating sound financial and business acumen.
