Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Objective and Scope
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee and support all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, quality assurance, project execution, team management, warranty and budget oversight. Your leadership will ensure exceptional quality and customer service across all operations.
Responsibilities
· Oversee day-to-day operations across scheduling, workflow planning, quality assurance, project execution, warranty, team coordination, and budget oversight.
· Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring work is aligned with business priorities, customer expectations, timelines, budgets, and available resources.
· Support the operational balance between manufacturing, fabrication, and upfitting, with a focus on rebuilding fabrication and upfitting customer relationships while continuing to grow manufacturing capacity.
· Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to implement practical operational strategies that support growth, efficiency, accountability, and service excellence.
· Lead, mentor, and support the team, creating clear expectations and a culture of accountability, continuous learning, innovation, and improvement.
· Support Quest’s growth from approximately 16 employees toward a team of approximately 25, helping build the systems, structure, and leadership capacity required for that growth.
· Use project management practices to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects efficiently and effectively in a quick-moving environment.
· Oversee quality control processes, troubleshoot operational challenges, and ensure issues are resolved with urgency and good judgment.
· Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.
· Work within the broader Legacy Group environment,
supporting collaboration between Quest and Protec while maintaining clarity that they are separate companies with distinct operations and customer relationships.
· Ensure high standards of quality, communication, and customer service are consistently delivered across every project.
Requirements
Education and Experience
· Proven experience in an operational leadership role, ideally within a project-based, fleet, fabrication, manufacturing, mechanical, trades, or service-focused environment.
· Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of design, quality, practical project execution, and customer expectations.
· Demonstrated success in a progressive career path, with hands-on experience leading teams, managing priorities, and understanding team dynamics.
· Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets, workflow, efficiency, service delivery, profitability, and customer retention.
· Project management experience with the ability to schedule appropriately, adjust to shifting priorities, and follow through on commitments.
· Experience mentoring, training, and developing employees by setting a strong example and creating clear expectations.
· Experience working in an environment with multiple service lines, shifting priorities, and customer-driven project demands would be considered an asset.
