Job Overview The Options Control Analyst is responsible for executing critical operational controls across Monex's global structured FX options business, ensuring the accurate capture, validation, reconciliation, and lifecycle management of complex derivative transactions across Monex entities in the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. This role serves as an independent operational control function within International Operations, acting as a formal four-eyes verification control over all option transactions entered into kACE (FENICS), with particular focus on structured products including Target Redemption Forwards (TARFs), barrier options, and other complex FX option structures. The role is responsible for first-level investigation of trade capture, reconciliation, and valuation discrepancies, ensuring timely identification, escalation, and resolution of exceptions, while enforcing globally consistent trade capture standards across all jurisdictions.

In addition to daily control execution, this role plays a key part in operational enhancement initiatives across the options trade lifecycle, including trade capture workflows, client confirmation generation and delivery, mark-to-market reporting, and margin call notification processes. This position reports directly to the International Head of Operations, with a longer-term reporting path into Treasury Operations leadership and opportunities for broader growth within Monex's global treasury and derivatives operations function. Key Responsibilities Trade Verification & Structured Product Control Perform independent verification of all structured FX option transactions captured within KACE (FENICS) across global Monex entities Act as a formal second-level operational control ("four-eyes" review) to validate trade economics, structure details, settlement terms, barrier features, knockout provisions, target redemption mechanics,



and related booking attributes Independently validate complex option structures including TARFs, barrier options, window structures, and vanilla option strategies; review fixing schedules, strike logic, target redemption parameters, knockout mechanics, notional schedules, and settlement conventions Identify and escape booking discrepancies, trade capture errors, and structural inconsistencies that could impact valuation, confirmations, settlement, or lifecycle event processing Escalate structural or economic discrepancies for prompt investigation and resolution

Global Trade Capture Governance Enforce consistent trade capture standards and operational procedures across all jurisdictions Repair and/or escalate deviations from required standards Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of standardized operating procedures for options trade capture and validation Promote operational consistency and control discipline across regional teams

Reconciliation & Valuation Oversight Monitor control and reconciliation reports to ensure all externally executed broker trades are accurately represented and matched within internal systems Investigate unmatched, missing, delayed, or incorrectly captured trades Perform first-level investigation of discrepancies between broker-reported mark-to-market valuations and internally generated valuations Identify, investigate, and upscale valuation exceptions outside established tolerance thresholds Coordinate with Trading, Treasury, and external counterparties to resolve trade and valuation breaks in a timely manner

Exception Management & Escalation Execute timely investigation and escalation of trade capture, reconciliation, and valuation exceptions Maintain documentation of operational incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation outcomes Support control issue tracking and contribute to operational risk reporting Identify recurring control weaknesses and recommend corrective action

Process Improvement & Project Support Support strategic initiatives to enhance Monex's options operational control framework Contribute to process improvements across: trade capture workflows, client confirmation generation and delivery, mark-to-market reporting, margin call notification processes, and lifecycle event processing and automation Participate in testing, implementation, and validation of system enhancements impacting the options lifecycle Assist in defining scalable operational controls to support business growth Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Trading, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and regional Operations teams Serve as an operational subject matter resource for options trade capture standards and controls Support training and knowledge transfer related to structured options processing and operational best practices Facilitate consistent execution of control standards across all Monex jurisdictions





Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related discipline

3–5 years of experience in derivatives operations, treasury operations, trade support, middle office, or structured products operations

Strong understanding of FX products, with direct exposure to structured FX options and derivatives processing

Hands-on experience with structured products including TARFs, barrier options, and path-dependent option structures

Experience investigating trade capture, reconciliation, and valuation discrepancies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to interpret complex trade structures and identify discrepancies

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Additional Qualifications Experience with KACE (FENICS), or similar derivatives trading and risk management platforms, is highly desirable

Experience operating within multi-jurisdiction treasury or derivatives environments is an asset

Familiarity with operational controls supporting mark-to-market reporting and margin processes

Experience supporting operational process improvement initiatives and systems enhancement projects

Understanding of structured FX options lifecycle events and downstream operational impacts

Familiarity with PIPEDA and Canadian AML/ATF (FINTRAC) requirements is an asset

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and derivatives trading/risk management systems
