We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to join our OLBB. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications while contributing to the successful delivery of strategic digital initiatives. This position requires a highly skilled professional with robust expertise in Java, AWS, Angular, J2EE, SQL, and PL/SQL, along with experience working in Agile environments and complex enterprise application ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, J2EE and AWS Cloud technologies.
- Lead development activities for key business initiatives and digital transformation projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and Agile team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support application integrations and ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and provide guidance on architectural decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java technologies.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Java, J2EE, Angular, SQL, PL/SQL, Agile/Scrum Enterprise, Application Development, System Integration, Software Architecture, Problem Solving.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, integration patterns, and software development best practices.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Proven ability to lead development efforts on complex projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Salary: $75,900.00 - $141,900.00
Pay Type: Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
