Role & Responsibilities

- Process payroll for Canadian employees across multiple provinces accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial tax laws.
- Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and statutory contributions using payroll software and spreadsheets.
- Prepare and distribute pay stubs, T4s, RL-1s, and other year-end tax slips in compliance with CRA requirements.
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries via email or internal ticketing systems with empathy and precision.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate onboarding/offboarding documentation affects payroll processing.




- Reconcile payroll journals, verify bank transfers, and flag discrepancies for resolution before processing.

Skills & Qualifications

- Must-Have
- ADP Workforce Now
- QuickBooks Payroll
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) designation or working toward it
- CRA payroll compliance
- Payroll tax calculations (federal/provincial)
- MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
- Remote payroll processing experience
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Preferred
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or Paychex Flex
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act (ESA) by province
- Experience supporting unions or multi-jurisdictional payroll
